VRAC presents:
Extending your reach: Helping workplaces support returning employees
In some situations, you can work hard to support a claimant to get stronger and ready to return to work—only to have them immediately face overwhelming work stressors. Workplace Strategies for Mental Health has developed practical resources that you can use to help managers and employers better prepare for and support successful return-to-work experiences. Some resources can be shared directly, while others may be used collaboratively with the manager or employer. Whether you're a business owner within our association looking to strengthen your own workplace practices, or a vocational rehabilitation professional supporting clients and employers, this session offers valuable tools to promote sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
Our session will be facilitated by Mary Ann Baynton, Director of Collaboration and Strategy for Workplace Strategies. She is also an independent consultant who has helped employers with planning for hundreds of return-to-work, stay-at-work, and accommodations. She has also facilitated many conflict resolution processes, including between managers and employees. In addition to sharing how you can leverage the free resources for the first 60 minutes, Mary Ann has agreed to stay on for another 30 minute to answer any of your questions about these topics.
