DECEMBER TOPIC: Building Volunteer Kits

Onboarding new volunteers provides the perfect opportunity to help them get to know your organization in a deeper way. Creating a thoughtful onboarding process, which could include a Volunteer Kit, will build a highly engaged volunteer culture where volunteers feel like they are part of your team. You could include a number of items in your volunteer kits such as org swag, training materials and forms, next steps, and even marketing pieces.

This article features ways to step up your volunteer onboarding game will help you connect with the importance of a good process. They share some specific suggestions that could be applied to a Volunteer Kit.

1). What are some of the benefits of creating a kit that every new or potential volunteer receives?
