About this event

Get ready for a volleyball experience like no other—perfect for those who love the game but aren't looking to join a league! Whether you’re here to learn the ropes, play a casual game, or simply meet other outdoor enthusiasts, our Volleyball Social is where the fun happens.

This event is all about good vibes, new friends, and planning your next big adventure. Sure, there’s volleyball, but we’re not about intense rallies all night long. Instead, we focus on connecting, laughing, and sharing stories of past and future adventures.

Every month, we draw a crowd of 30 to 80 fun-loving folks who are just as excited as you are to get outside and play. We’ve got our event posted on all the internet calendars, so if you want to see who’s in, just check out the RSVP list at the bottom.

Not in the mood for volleyball? No problem!

Many people come just to chill on the large patio, where you can join a friendly game of cornhole or ping pong. With a full kitchen and bar boasting 30+ taps, there’s something for everyone.

What to Expect:

Parking: Crowbar offers free dedicated parking, but if that fills up, there’s a paid lot nearby or free street parking. Give yourself 5-10 minutes to find a spot.

Finding the Group: Look for the HTXoutdoors and Bayou City Outdoors signs on the tables. We usually hang out on Courts 1 and 2, which are side by side.

About the Group: This event is a welcoming space for everyone, especially first-timers. You won’t be crashing a tight-knit crew; instead, you’ll find people who are eager to meet others with shared interests. It’s all about quick connections and discovering common ground.

So come out, meet fellow adventurers who love hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, and more! This isn’t just a volleyball game; it’s the start of your next great outdoor adventure.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Typically most BCO events are for adults.  But, we do love kids.  If you believe your child is capable of keeping up with the group, no problem.  AND if this is a bike ride they MUST wear a helmet.  Questions?  Contact us at info@bayoucityoutdoors.com

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We add parking details to the Event descriptions.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

If the temperature is above 80 or it very clearly says "No Dogs" then please don't bring your dog.  We LOVE dogs and only make this rule if we feel there could be a safety concern (for the dogs of course:).

BIKE: If it is a bike ride: Bring a helmet or borrow one from us.  Helmets are the single most important piece of gear you can have on a bike ride.  Anyway, any time you are wearing a helmet you must be having fun!

Bring water.  Frequently our events are in the woods or out of the way.  Water is important.

HIKE: If it is a hiking event wear comfortable shoes.  Athletic shoes, hiking boots, running shoes, just be sure your feet will be happy.

SOCIAL: If it is a social event?  Wear whatever YOU feel comfortable in.  We are an eclectic mix of people with all types of interests and jobs.  People will come straight from work in a suit or jeans, straight from running or working out, and some of us even come cleaned up straight from the shower!  (and everything in between)
