A week-long workshop-style introduction to photography and video at the School of Sound & Vision at Glow Hall. We'll learn techniques, explore approaches, and collaborate as we build our own visual storytelling styles. Participants will come away with finished pieces, and have opportunities to display their work.
Each Visual Storytelling session accepts up to 12 members, and runs one week, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM - 12 PM. All skill levels are welcome.
$250/camper, sliding scale available. We don’t turn anyone away based on financial need. Contact us at summersessions@glowhall.com for sliding scale payments.
Visual Storytelling runs Monday to Friday, from 9 AM - 12 PM. It takes place at Glow Hall, 246 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI, 49007.
Visual Storytelling is supervised by Christopher, our LARA- and CPR-certified counselor-in-charge. Each half-day we'll learn new techniques in photography and video, experiment with concepts in visual storytelling, and build community through games and artistic collaboration. On Friday, campers will put on a mini-exhibition of the week's best work!
Campers should bring a water bottle. A snack will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Lunch is not provided.
