The history and culture of piñatas is just as wild and colorful as they are. Students will learn about the history of piñatas as they make paper mache and construct their own mini piñata to take home. Led by teaching artist Rafael Guiterrez. For ages 6-16.

Format

This class will take place in person at Vision Gallery. Please plan to arrive promptly by the class start time. Late arrivals may not be admitted to the class.

Vision Gallery hosts VISION KIDS, a series of free-of-charge art classes taught by professional artists for kids age 6-16.

VISION KIDS students come from all areas of the Valley and represent a wide array of diverse backgrounds; anyone can participate! Your child can learn techniques in drawing, watercolor, ceramics, photography, and nearly every medium imaginable through our diverse class topics. VISION KIDS is designed to inspire children’s creativity and empower them to integrate art into their daily lives.

Classes held at Vision Gallery most Saturdays at 10am and 1pm. Limit 3 classes per student per semester. Parents or guardians must plan to remain present for the duration of the two-hour class
