Participants will explore the expanding scope of responsibilities, essential leadership competencies, and common challenges encountered at each stage.
Through engaging discussion and practical strategies, attendees will learn how leadership styles adapt over time, how to foster trust and resilience within teams, and how to align their approach to support patients, staff, and organizational goals. Special emphasis is placed on the foundational attributes of impactful leaders—communication, emotional intelligence, and strategic vision—preparing participants to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Objectives
At the conclusion of the educational activity, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the different roles and responsibilities within nursing leadership.
2. Discuss the essential core competencies and strategies for effective nursing leadership.
3. Summarize common challenges in nursing leadership and strategies to address them.
4. Describe how to adapt leadership styles to effectively support patients, staff, and the
organization.
Participants can earn 2.0 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit. Each nursing participant must be present for the entire session and must complete an evaluation of the session to receive contact hours.
