Experience the virtual reality experience, "Immersive (New Understandings)" by multidisciplinary artist Avin HannahSmith. It is a video experience that runs 3 minutes and 50 seconds. This special program will run with his MFA thesis, "Introducing Maps of Afro-Identity: Gemini Grids."

Avin HannahSmith is a multidisciplinary artist and educator born and raised in Chicago. He was nominated for the sculpture program at the Ox Bow School of Art. His work was featured in the LP Herald Dispatch, ShoutOut Michigan, and CanvasRebel. He has exhibited in Lubeznik Center for the Arts, Chesterton Art Center, and South Shore Arts. He is a current member of the professional practices committee of the College Arts Association. He has recently been an art adjudicator for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in the Chicago Art region. exhibition. He received his BFA in Painting from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. He is currently in the MFA program with a focus on Studio Art from Columbia College Chicago.
