Event description
We are excited to announce our new 5-week Virtual Public Innovators Lab in Fall 2021: Unleashing Impact and Your Potential with Rich Harwood

About this event

The newly redesigned Virtual Lab, “Getting Started,” launched in April 2021 and sold out in just a few weeks! Over 60 people from across the U.S. and Canada learned how to get started using the transformative Harwood approach. This approach is road-tested, time-tested, and has spread to all 50 U.S. states and 40 countries around the world.

As one participant said, “Harwood's philosophy and approach is inspirational.”

About “Getting Started”

In 5 weekly online sessions, Rich Harwood will introduce you to the fundamentals of unleashing change in your community. You’ll learn directly from the creator of the Harwood approach about how to show up in a more impactful and intentional way.

This Virtual Lab is interactive and intense! We are looking for public innovators who are ready to engage. Attendees must complete all pre-session homework assignments and come with an open mindset and a can-do attitude.

Are you ready to get started? Join us on November 2nd!

What You’ll Learn in “Getting Started”

This Virtual Lab is focused on helping you get started in using the Harwood approach. We’ll focus on:

What You Stand For: You’ll articulate what you stand for that sparks your engagement in the community and motivates you to build a more inclusive, hopeful society.

How Change Happens: You’ll explore how you can activate, catalyze, and unleash a chain reaction of actions in your community and how change grows and spreads over time.

What Matters to People: You’ll discover why people’s shared aspirations and concerns are so important, and how sharing the public knowledge you gather can help you reframe public discussion, enlist allies, develop strategies, and align actions.

Know Where Your Community Is: You’ll learn where your community is starting—and not simply where you wish it to be—which will enable you to figure out the strategies, expectations, and pace of change that best fits your local context.

How You Show Up: You’ll identify what it means and what it takes to show up differently because Turning Outward and catalyzing change requires that we show up in new ways.
