About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Hey Sacramento artists, creatives, and people who support them!

You may have heard already, but I'm sharing this email in case you haven't. The City of Sacramento is investing in local artists, and I don't want you to miss out.

The City of Sacramento's Creative Growth Fellowship Grant is offering $10,000 to 200 artists across all disciplines to support their creative growth, practice, and impact in the community. Whether you're a visual artist, musician, dancer, filmmaker, poet, cultural worker, or creative entrepreneur, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

To help artists and supporters better understand the application process, eligibility, and how this grant can support your work, I've partnered with Indie Things Possible to host a series of 4 virtual info sessions starting today! These sessions are free, open to the public, and will include time for Q&A.

Even though I can't apply because I no longer live in Sacramento, I know it means to receive $10,000 to support your creative practice. And I want you to have the information and access to people who can help you answer any questions you may have.

If you're reading this, and you're thinking, "this is cool, but I'm not an artist." Then I want you to consider what it would mean to your favorite local artist to have a champion who believed they were deserving of this type of investment. Share the opportunity and information with them. Encourage them to attend an info session and then apply!
