Description of Class:

Looking to start a career in real estate? We make it easier! Our virtual hybrid course is a combination of self study and live instruction, so it’s a great option for someone who enjoys working independently and needs a flexible schedule but also wants one-on-one support. All of our instructors are licensed agents and bring real world experience to the course.

The course materials include a student portal with e-book reviews, unit quizzes, practice exams, videos, and a final review. The independent self study work is crucial to your education and completion of this course, so please set aside time to focus on your licensed education in order to stay on track. Instructions for the student portal and virtual class webinars will be sent to you the Friday before class begins. If you do not receive this information by the Friday before class at 3pm, please reach out to us at education@bairdwarner.com.

Virtual Course Requirements:

This class will be taught virtually via Zoom. You will need access to a computer or tablet with audio and visual capabilities and be able to work in a quiet space with no interruptions. A confirmation email with instructions and the virtual link will be sent once you enroll in the course from Illinois Realtors.

School Policies:

  • This is a graded course; you must score an 85% on all materials in order to pass.
  • Attendance is required.
  • Only one Zoom absence is permitted per course.
  • If more than one class is missed, it must be made up within 30 days. If we do not have a session that works for you within those 30 days, you may hire one of our instructors as a tutor.
  • If you miss any class time, please immediately notify your instructor and email education@bairdwarner.com

Course Refund Policy:

  • Full tuition is required at the time of registration.
  • All payments must be paid to Eventbrite with credit or debit card.
  • Class cancellation must be sent in writing to education@bairdwarner.com prior to the Thursday before the class begins at 12:00 p.m. CST to receive a full refund.
  • If written cancellation is sent between the Thursday at noon prior to the beginning of class and the start day, the student will receive only a 50% refund.
  • No refund will be issued after the first day of class.
  • Refunds are issued through Eventbrite and may take up to 10 business days.
  • The Eventbrite processing fee is non-refundable for cancellations.
  • A student may transfer to another Baird & Warner hybrid course at no cost to them up until the first day of their originally scheduled course.
  • Completion of this course does not guarantee employment at Baird & Warner.

How to get an Illinois Real Estate Brokers license:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be a high school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Complete 75 hours of broker course work, including 15 hours of interactive training.
  • Pass the state of Illinois exam with a score of 75% or better.
  • Choose a sponsoring brokerage and apply for your Illinois real estate license through IDFPR.

How do I register for the prelicensing classes?

Registration is done through Eventbrite. Visit our Eventbrite page, select the desired class dates, and follow the prompts to complete your registration. Early registration is recommended as spots may be limited.

Is financial aid or payment plans available?

Are these classes accredited or approved by the state?

Yes, Baird & Warner's prelicensing classes meet the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements for real estate education. Completion of these classes fulfills the educational prerequisites for taking the Illinois real estate licensing exam.

How do I access the virtual classes?

Once you register, you’ll receive an email with a Zoom link and instructions for joining the class. You’ll use this same link for all 10 sessions. Make sure to check your spam or promotions folder if you don’t see the email in your inbox by 3pm the Friday prior to the class start date.

What happens after completing the prelicensing classes

Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll receive two transcripts and will be eligible to schedule your state licensing exam.
