Make an awesome wreath!
Kick off the holiday season with a one-of-a-kind wreath. This is a perfect gift or family activity. Many hands of all sizes make fun work.
This is our virtual take home project. It is not a workshop. You are signing up for a wreath kit & designated pick up time. You will receive a link to the instructional video on YouTube the day you sign up for your pick up. Our video will take you through all the steps.
Have your garden pruners handy, so you can snip the provided greens down to size. Learn the differences between yew, fir, and spruce by how they snip, arrange, and smell. Each kit will include five different types of evergreen.
Support the Garden
These winter workshops support ongoing projects in the Garden and allow us to maintain our intern program. Last year our interns assisted with designing a new Dutch garden, worked with community members to write educational signs, and researched our peony collection. These projects help keep the Garden a beautiful and dynamic place where future gardeners and science communicators hone their skills!
Pick Up and Parking
You must pick up your holiday wreath kit at Allen Centennial Garden at the time you select. You may park in the circle drive to pick up your kit! We'll be in front of the house handing out kits. We'll provide a variety of evergreen boughs, accent branches, a wire wreath frame, and additional wire.
