About this event

Join Tod Nielsen on the second Sunday of every month on Zoom for a discussion of the short verses that comprise the Dhammapada, the Buddha's Path of Wisdom. He will explain the teachings of the Buddha through the poetic verses of this beautiful anthology of the Buddha's sayings, using their "back stories" to explain the imagery and deeper meaning of the verses. The Dhammapada is one of the best known and well respected texts of Theravadan Buddhism. The class will inspire and guide you!

Zoom classes are on the second Sunday of every month, from 11AM to 11:45AM. There is no fee for this class, but you must register on Eventbrite in order to get the Zoom meeting's URL. Donations are also welcome.

The text is The Dhammapada: A New Translation of the Buddhist Classic with Annotations, translated by Gil Fronsdale. You can purchase the book in the temple gift shop.
