Virtual Coffee Meetup – Breaking Barriers for Autistic Alumni
Overview
We invite you to join us for a Virtual Coffee Meetup to discuss a pilot program aimed at supporting autistic alumni and future graduates, while building stronger bridges between our community and the workforce.
The reality is stark: studies show that 85% of autistic adults face underemployment or unemployment, despite their skills, dedication, and potential. This is not a reflection of talent—it’s a reflection of barriers. Together, we can change that.
We are on the verge of making a real community impact, and we hope you will be part of it!
This initiative seeks to bridge the gap by:
- Gathering input directly from autistic alumni and students about their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
- Engaging alumni and current students in open dialogue to hear their stories and experiences firsthand.
- Exploring ways alumni can leverage their networks, influence, and companies to break down barriers and connect autistic candidates with opportunities.
This is more than just a conversation—it’s a chance to shape a program that empowers our community and ensures that every graduate has a fair shot at success.
