Surprise! It is truly the return of the M.A.C. as we tackle infrastructure for our third Mini-AppCon of 2021! The third week of our quarterly Virtual AppCon, M.A.C. #3, will be September 20-24. As you probably heard on TechSwamp, at the beginning of August, the Senate passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R. 3684) which includes $65 billion specifically for broadband infrastructure and deployment. Our job is to help advance important provisions around broadband and workforce development across the finish line and into law. get the bill passed in the House. During M.A.C. 3| Infrastructure Week, we will be meeting with key committee staff, Congressional offices, and agency officials to talk about the critical role broadband and equitable access to broadband plays in the overall success of the app economy, growth of our workforce, and success of small businesses, and to underscore the immediate need for Congress to pass H.R. 3684.

Just like the last M.A.C., the general schedule for the week will be as follows:

Monday: Issue briefing from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET. These briefings will give us time to discuss the issue, give us time to answer any questions you have, and generally give you time to check-in with each other and App Association staff.

Tuesday – Thursday: Roundtable meetings.

Thursday Evening: Celebratory happy hour. Think of this as the equivalent of our Tuesday night dinners at a typical AppCon... take some time to network and celebrate a job well done!

Don’t worry – as soon as a meeting is scheduled, you will get a calendar invite with all the details so you have plenty of time to schedule around AppCon‘21 roundtables.
