Vinyl Listening Session with Special Guest Jacob Wendt

Overview

Come join us for our first vinyl listening session at Dedo Coffee featuring Jacob Wendt's SILVER STREET.

Inaugural Vinyl Listening Session @ Dedo Coffee

Please join us for our inagural listening session at Dedo Coffee. We've long anticipated a moment when we can dedicate space to active listening.

Our equipment is an essential, curated piece of the overall cafe experience. It’s important to us that the system we put together for the cafe capably demonstrates the engaging sound of serious hi-fi, without being a completely inaccessible collection of equipment. Our setup consists of Tannoy Legacy Eaton loudspeakers, a Luxman L-509x integrated amplifier, a Technics SL-1200G turntable, and an original Auralic Altair high-resolution streaming DAC. We used products from GIK Acoustics for room treatments, and were excited to connect with R/D Record Cabinets (Los Angeles) to build a custom record cabinet for vinyl display and storage. We've been playing Silver Street for a while now, and it sounds amazing on our set up.

Jacob Wendt

Although heavily influenced by Jazz and R&B drumming greats of the 1950’s and 60’s, his sound is unique; balanced, supportive, and interactive, with a driving energy that serves the music while leaving space for others to speak — he is an authoritative yet never intrusive player. His original ensembles have headlined major venues across Northern and Southern California including Blue Whale, Dizzy’s, Yoshi’s, The Fillmore Jazz Festival, The Sound Room, Catalina’s Bar & Grille, and The Grape.
