Video Editing Workshop

New to Adobe Premiere? This is an introductory level class where you will not only learn how to edit, but also learn to navigate the interface, how to set up project files and sequences to avoid common mistakes that lead to frustration, and shortcuts to help streamline the editing process and more. In this regularly scheduled small class, you will get hands-on experience and personalized attention from the instructor to help you fully understand the topic.

You'll learn:

• To navigate the Adobe Premiere interface
• How to set up project files and sequences to avoid common mistakes that lead to frustration
• Editing tools and what they do
• Shortcuts to help streamline the editing process

**Each week will focus on one topic to help you understand and master each one.**

For the first class, we will go over project setup, learn to navigate the Premiere Pro interface, and learn the tools to build a basic video editing timeline. As people begin to have a deep understanding of the basics, we progress to learning shortcuts, effects, color grading, sound design, transitions, and more to help elevate videos.

For this workshop, please bring the following:

• Laptop with Adobe Premiere installed
• An Adobe account set up
• External hard drive (optional but reccommended)

About your teacher:

Photography and video editing have been hobbies of mine for over 10 years, and for the last 4 years, I’ve been professionally video editing. I understand how the digital arts can be intimidating and overwhelming, and I want to be able to make it more accessible. I believe that getting hands-on experience provides a deeper understanding, which helped me, and I love that I can give that space and opportunity.
