"Vibrant Chromocosms: Where Ancient Tradition Meets Modernity" with Nhat Tran and Dr. Elizabeth T.D. Le

Two esteemed Vietnam-born, Indianapolis-based women artists will present “Vibrant Chromocosms: Where Ancient Tradition Meets Modernity.” Nhat Tran is one of only a handful of artists in the world and fewer than 10 in the United States making works in Urushi, a 6,000-year-old traditional Japanese art form using lacquer. Elizabeth T.D. Le is a physician, author, and global traveler whose watercolor paintings depict H’mong people in the Northwest mountains of Vietnam. Together, a deep cultural connection and passion for human experience shape both artists’ work.
