About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Explore expression, emotion, and innovation through color and form with local abstract artist Ty Davis. Whether you’re coming solo, with friends, or planning a unique date night, this workshop is designed to inspire and invite expression in a relaxed, welcoming space. No experience? No problem. This isn’t about recreating someone else’s idea of art—it’s about tapping into your own. Participants will explore abstract painting through guided exercises focused on color, composition, mark-making, and texture. As part of the experience, we’ll create to the sounds of smooth jazz—a key part of Ty’s own artistic process. The rhythm and mood of the music help set the tone, encouraging you to move intuitively and let your brush respond in real time. It’s less about control and more about flow. Ty will offer live demos, one-on-one guidance, and a safe space to play, explore, and express. All materials are provided and no experience necessary. Open to participants ages 13+.
