The essence of Merve Salgar and Anıl Eraslan’s performance is to create a

crystalline bridge where the listener melds into the contrast between

simultaneity and agitation, between traditional Turkish music forms and

contemporary undertones.

The performance divides the sonic space between the two instruments, with

the musicians constantly awakening and resonating within this liminal space.

They confront each other like two sides of the same coin: seemingly

discordant, yet fundamentally united.

Die Essenz von Merve Salgars und Anıl Eraslans Performance ist es, eine kristalline Brücke zu schlagen, auf der der Zuhörer mit dem Kontrast zwischen Gleichzeitigkeit und Unruhe, zwischen traditionellen türkischen Musikformen und zeitgenössischen Untertönen konfrontiert wird.  Die Performance teilt den Klangraum zwischen den beiden Instrumenten, wobei doch eine intensive Interaktion erfolgt. Sie stehen einander gegenüber wie zwei Seiten einer Medaille: scheinbar unvereinbar und doch im Grunde schon vereint.
