Calling all green thumbs and aspiring green thumbs! The City of Vaughan is teaming up with Jocelyn's Soil Booster to offer a free gardening workshop to help you learn how to nurture plants and trees on your property.

Join Wastenot Farms Inc. founder, Jocelyn Molyneux, and City staff on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Marita Payne Park (16 Jason St.) from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Jocelyn will walk attendees through a soil-boosting demonstration and activity using natural inputs including vermicompost, biochar and cricket frass. Participants will learn how to nurture healthy, thriving plants while reducing waste and improving economic impact.

This is a family-friendly event – no gardening experience required. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves and dress appropriately – it might get messy!

Space is limited, so register now to confirm your attendance.
