“Airway management is the foundation on which the resuscitation process rests.” - Ron Walls, MD

You will appreciate that preservation of gas exchange is the prime goal of airway management.

You will learn when endotracheal intubation is indicated and learn about other options.

You will learn how to evaluate an airway to predict difficulty and prevent a failed airway.

You will learn when and how medications should be used to assist airway management and when they should not be used.

You will learn how to manage a difficult airway and rescue a failed airway employing techniques proven to work
