UX Strategy Inspired by Games (3/3): Processes and Maturity (2.5h)
Event Information
About this event
What lessons from fun and engaging video games such as Fortnite can be applied to offer a great user experience (UX) for any product? This 3rd and last part of this in-depth masterclass series proposes to explore what it means to acquire a UX mindset on your product team or your company overall. While this session can be taken independently from the 2 others, we will draw from a lot of notions tackled in the previous sessions, especially from session 2.
This masterclass is tailored for product owners and anyone interested in "gamification" (for health tech, fintech, or to make any product more engaging) or "serious games" who are not familiar with game design. While we will use many examples coming from video games, it does not require any videogame knowledge. This masterclass is NOT tailored for game developers (please see my other masterclasses on my website if you're a game developer).
Part 3: UX Processes & Maturity (2.5 hours)
User experience (UX) is becoming trendy, yet many professionals assume it's "just about UI", or that UX is something that can be "done later in the process". UX is a mindset, it *is* the process, and it should be the concern of everyone in the company in order to be truly efficient. In this masterclass we will tackle how to develop UX practices on a team and in a company, from UX unawareness to having a centralized UX culture (including ethics considerations).
More specifically, we will tackle:
- The scientific method (user research & analytics)
- UX production pipeline
- Advancing UX maturity
- Ethics in tech
(Not included: Part 1 about the human brain limitations, & Part 2 about usability & engagement, held respectively on March 18 & March 30).
Who is this for?
Anyone can benefit from knowing more about the brain, which is the underpinnings of user experience. This Masterclass will however benefit product owners even more.
Main takeaways
- Understand how to make the right decisions and solve the right problems to solve with user research and analytics.
- How to advance UX maturity.
- How to advance ethics in the tech industry.
