UX Designer → Developer: Technical Foundations for Collaborative Design
Overview
Why do developers say "that's not possible" to a design that looks simple? How does your choice of font or image impact the site's loading speed? Why does a perfectly aligned layout in Figma sometimes break in the browser?
This intensive weekend module is built to answer these questions by addressing the critical communication gap between UX design and development. It is designed to equip students and early-career professionals with the essential technical vocabulary and conceptual understanding required to collaborate effectively. The curriculum focuses on the fundamental principles of web technologies, implementation constraints, and best practices for creating design deliverables that are both innovative and technically feasible.
Through a combination of theory and real-world examples, you will learn to anticipate development challenges and articulate design decisions within a technical framework, moving beyond frustrating roadblocks to become a more effective and valued member of any product team. Certification is granted upon completion of a mandatory 5-hour hands-on project.
