UWSP Business and Society Lecture Series: Ken Favaro

By UWSP Sentry School of Business and Economics

Overview

Real Strategy and Innovation

Join the UW-Stevens Point Sentry School of Business and Economics for a Business and Lecture Series event as author Ken Favaro presents "Real Strategy and Innovation" on Wednesday, March 11 at 7-9 a.m. in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room.

Strategy is a powerful tool for driving business results but too often, leaders achieve sub-par outcomes because they carry misconceptions of what strategy is, what makes it great and how to keep it great.

Based on his decades of experience working with CEOs, executive teams and boards, Ken Favaro has written Real Strategy; published in 2024, the book is a no-nonsense guide to the most difficult questions about strategy. Favaro has also co-developed a new approach to innovation known as “Precedents Thinking” which was featured in the Harvard Business Review in 2025.

Favaro’s presentation will include examples of how entrepreneurs and corporate leaders have applied “Precedents Thinking” to generate bigger, better ideas and breakthrough innovations.
