Are you Interested in rain barrels for your home or garden, but not sure where to start? Join us on September 6th from 12 to 1:30 for a Rain Barrel Workshop led by Phipps Master Gardener & Sustainable Landcare Accredited Professional Scott Fingal and National Green Infrastructure Certified Professional Aaron Birdy. In this workshop you will learn everything you need to know to start harvesting rainwater. We will cover all of the basics including; finding a suitable location, estimating stormwater runoff, selecting the right size barrel, building and installing a rain barrel, and rain barrel maintenance. We will also discuss how to safely use rainwater for edible plants.

Location Information:

Parking: There is limited on street parking. Can park at park'n'ride lot at Hamnett Station.

If traveling by Bus: Garden Dreams is one block from Busway. Hamnet Station. 61A. 

Accessibility: Site entrance accessible by sidewalk, then gravel driveway to greenhouse. Greenhouse has limited paved concrete access. While gardens are uneven grass surfaces

Restroom info: 1 regular portajohn

Drinking water: Bring a water bottle. Water available from a sink
