Portable Parallel Bars: Transitioning Rehab from the ICU Into the Home

This pilot strengthens the evidence for assistive technology in the home—and underscores the urgent need to improve access. Since parallel bars currently lack CPT coding, we are exploring a new path forward through State Vocational Rehab Counselors, who can prescribe essential equipment for safe return-to-work support.
