Using GenAI For Job-Searching

This workshop is part of the FREE Saturdays in the D adult learning program offered by the City of Detroit and University of Michigan.

In this session, you will learn how to use popular generative AI tools, such as Gemini and ChatGPT, to critically reflect on and revise your resumes and cover letters—tailoring them to best fit new career opportunities. We will also explore different ways that you can use these tools for interview practice later on in the application process. Please come with your resume and a device (laptop, smart phone, tablet), as there will be time during the session to work on your materials.

Notes:

• No prior AI experience needed – just come ready to transform your job search strategy!
• Bringing your own laptop is recommended but a tablet or smart phone will also do!
• There is no certificate offered for this workshop.
