Using AI in TV Production with Colin Byrne

Tue 11 Nov 13:00 - 14:00

Hosted by Clare Fisher

If you don’t know whether to dive in or drop out of AI, this talk with Colin Byrne will definitely help you.

We’ll explore how AI can be used in your freelance work: from pre-production, through production, to post-production. And, discuss what AI models are currently being used by the TV industry - and what they're being used for. And, where will we be in six months’ time if AI tech continues at its current pace.

Importantly, we will discuss the growing concerns about ethics and morals in AI and what you need to do.

Colin Byrne is a UK-based producer and AI creative-lead in unscripted TV. Over the past few years he’s gone from exploring generative AI to building and delivering full-scale, AI workflows for UK production houses. Most recently, he’s led the AI creative team on a feature-length documentary for Lion TV, developed AI pipelines for Nutopia, Raw TV and a boutique VFX house Little Shadow. He’s co-founded Creative Intelligence to mentor mid-to-senior film and TV freelancers in the practical use of AI in production.
