Event description
Typescript is coming in hot! Stop by to take a deep dive into the hottest new asset to Javascript.

About this Event

So you’ve learned some JavaScript and maybe you’ve heard that TypeScript is the next thing to learn! You might have seen the meteoric rise in TypeScript popularity or that some of the most popular libraries in the world are written or being re-written into TypeScript.

Tonight will be an intro to TypeScript. We’ll look at how you can install TypeScript and start adding it to your tech stack! We’ll cover the basics and benefits of types and show you how to create interfaces, types, generics and much more. You’ll see some demos of how TypeScript is used with modern frameworks like React and by the end of the night, you’ll be well on your way to including TypeScript in future applications!

Who is this meetup for:

If you’ve got a solid grasp of JavaScript, you can get something out of this meetup. If you’re curious about this topic, and want to prepare yourself before this workshop: here is a free online course to take - we recommend getting through Intermediate JS at least.
