Join us for a hands-on environmental science event co-hosted by the Clark County School District's Magnet Schools Department and the University of Nevada, Reno Extension. Students in grades 5–8 will explore water conservation, hydroponics, plant science, and more through interactive learning stations. Held at the UNR Extension’s educational campus, this event offers students a unique opportunity to engage in real-world STEM and sustainability education.

The University of Nevada, Reno Extension and the Clark County School District's Magnet Schools Department invite you to a hands-on environmental science event designed for students in grades 5–8.

Event Highlights:

  • Interactive learning stations led by UNR Extension experts
  • Topics include water conservation, hydroponics, plant needs, and healthy eating
  • Activities take place in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • A guided garden tour will close out the event

Target Audience: Students in grades 5–8, along with their families, educators, and members of the community

This collaborative event is designed to inspire curiosity and deepen students' understanding of STEM and environmental science through real-world, hands-on experiences.
