Frequently asked questions

Q1: What is Unmasc-Qing Too?

Unmasc-Qing Too is a one-day roundtable experience based on the Shadow Work Journals by Tamara M. Allen, MSML. This second edition centers dialogue on identity, masculinity, healing, and connection through real-life stories, journal exercises, and grown, honest conversations.

Q2: Who is this event for?

This experience is curated for Black lesbian and queer women, masculine-presenting women (MOC/studs), trans men, feminine-presenting partners, and allies. It's a space where all identities are honored and invited to unmask and explore masculinity, love, and healing.

Q3: Is this group therapy?

No. This is not group therapy. It's a guided roundtable conversation rooted in shadow work and journal prompts. It’s about showing up as your full self and being part of something raw, intimate, and real. Every voice matters, and everyone has a seat at the table.

Q4: What does my ticket include?

Each ticket includes entry to the roundtable, a copy of the Unmasc-Qing Too Journal, heavy refreshments, exclusive drink specials, and full access to the interactive activities. No worksheets. No homework. Just real conversation, community, and connection.

Q5: Is there a dress code?

Come as your full, unapologetic self. There’s no strict dress code, but the vibe is grown and grounded. Think: expressive, chill, intentional, and stylish. Just be comfortable enough to sit, sip, speak, and reflect for a few hours among folks who get it.

Q6: Where is the event taking place?

This event will be held at 323 Walker St SW Unit A, Atlanta, GA—an eclectic 2nd-floor speakeasy venue with exposed brick and creative energy. Intimate and vibe-filled, it’s in the heart of downtown with parking nearby and a cash bar on-site. Must be 21+.

Q7: Is there an age requirement?

Yes, all attendees must be at least 21 years old. This event includes access to a cash bar and is designed for a mature audience prepared for grown conversation, reflection, and real connection.

Q8: Do I need to bring anything?

No materials or supplies are needed. Just bring your presence, your openness, and your truth. We provide the journal, the refreshments, and the vibe. All you have to do is show up ready to listen, share, or sit in reflection. No pressure. Just presence.

Q9: How long is the event?

The event will run from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2025. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage early arrival to settle in, grab a drink, and connect before dialogue begins. Come early, stay grounded.

Q10: Can I buy more than one ticket?

Yes. We offer individual tickets, couples’ packages, and occasional flash sales. Seating is capped at 50 guests, so early purchase is encouraged. Once we’re full, we’re full. Grab your spot now and bring someone who needs to be at this table with you.
