Do I need prior experience with “The Work” or Byron Katie’s teachings?

No prior experience is necessary. The workshop is designed for both beginners and those already familiar with Byron Katie’s work. We’ll walk through the process step by step, with clear guidance and supportive exercises.

Is this a therapy session or group counseling?

This is an educational and experiential workshop, not therapy. While deep insights and emotional releases may occur, the focus is on self-inquiry and cognitive reframing using a structured method. If you’re currently in under professional mental health care, consult your provider before attending.

Will I have to share personal details with the group?

Sharing is always optional. You’ll be invited to reflect and journal privately, and if you choose to share during paired or small-group exercises, you’re in full control of what you disclose. The environment is respectful, confidential, and non-judgmental.

What should I bring?

Just bring an open mind, a notebook or journal, and a pen. We’ll provide all other materials. If you prefer to type, feel free to bring a tablet or laptop.

The process is gentle and self-paced. You’ll only explore what feels safe for you. If you’re currently working through significant trauma, we recommend having support outside the workshop (e.g., a therapist) and letting the facilitator know privately at the start so we can honor your needs.

Yes! We’ll include a 15-20 minute break midway through, plus short pauses for reflection and integration. Staying hydrated and comfortable is encouraged. Snacks and water will be provided.
