About this event

This isn’t about making art—it’s about making space in your mind using creativity. A grounded practice using doodles to reduce stress, regain mental clarity and self-expression.


Kitsilano based local artist, Divinity Chan will guide you through low-pressure exercises using shapes, lines, and colours to calm your system and recharge your mind.


By engaging in guided doodling, you’ll:

  • Tap into lateral thinking
  • Approach problems from new angles
  • Reconnect with idea flow and curiosity


No creative skill needed
Supplies provided or BYO (bring your own)
Hosted at the Kitsilano Vancouver Public Library


Attend one, a few or all 8 sessions and walk away with practical techniques you can use at your desk or when you’re feeling stuck. No art skills required—just curiosity and the willingness to play.

Note: This is not a replacement for therapy, but a creative self-care space.

Is there parking available near the library

There is neighbourhood parking close to the library as well as meter parking along Broadway close to Macdonald Street.

Can I bring my own art supplies?

Yes are welcome to bring your own supplies to doodle with.

Is this event complimentary?

Yes thanks to the generosity of the Neighbourhood Small Grant providing supplies and the Kitsilano Vancouver Public Library providing the space to host these events.

Who is Divinity

Vancouver based artist with a passion for creating FUN art experiences in paint parties and workshops. Have been hosting mini 10 minute mindful doodling sessions online playing with various topics and grateful to be able to offer this in person.

Who can attend this event

During our time together we will be exploring various themes as part of our doodling process. These sessions are appropriate for those who are interesting in participating in this playfulness mindful practice. Ages 12 years and up.
