Graduating Master in Professional Accounting Students,

The Department of Accounting and the MPA Program Office congratulates you as you approach the end of your academic program at The University of Texas at Austin. This ceremony will celebrate students graduating from the traditional MPA, the Econ-MPA, and the five-year integrated MPA programs.

Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 MPA graduates should RSVP to attend the ceremony. Please RSVP even if you do not plan to attend. If you do not RSVP, we will print your first, middle, and last names as listed in the UT directory.

Please do not RSVP for this event if you are only graduating with your undergraduate BBA degree. The BBA ceremony is separate and planned through the BBA Program Office, which can be reached at 512-471-0690 or CBA 2.400. Information regarding the BBA undergraduate ceremony can be found online.

If I'm walking in the ceremony, what time should I arrive?
Prospective graduates should report to the check-in table located in the Annex Gym of Gregory Gym at 11:30 a.m. You will don your regalia at this time. You and your guests are also invited to the MPA Commencement Reception, which begins at 10:30 a.m. in the McCombs Atrium. The dress code for the reception is casual; students should bring their regalia with them for the ceremony afterwards.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking for Commencement activities is free in designated areas on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit the Commencement webpage.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please do not bring any valuables (i.e. cameras, purses, backpacks, etc.) with you. There is no secure place to leave these items during the ceremony. Guests also cannot bring large purses or backpacks for safety reasons. See the Commencement webpage for more details.

Do my friends and family need tickets to the event too?
No, there is plenty of room in the venue for everyone and they do not need to worry about finding a seat. When you RSVP please include the number of guests you estimate you will bring; that will be enough information for the coordinator. If your number of guests changes by more than five people, please return to this page and edit your registration information. If your number of guests changes by less than five, please do not worry about letting us know.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, your online RSVP is enough.
