Unity in Motion is a free, one-day physical activity and wellness fair designed to empower youth, families, and athletes in the Omaha community. Hosted by healthcare professionals, athletes, and community leaders, the event will offer a variety of interactive sessions, health services, and educational workshops to promote physical activity, injury prevention, and lifelong wellness.

  • Parents and families
  • Community members interested in health, wellness, or sports
  • Students curious about careers in healthcare/sports medicine

What to Expect:

  • Free health screenings (blood pressure, lipid panel)
  • Fitness and movement demos with high-level athletes, trainers & coaches
  • Interactive workshops on injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and physical activity
  • Hands-on sports medicine skill labs (taping, ultrasound, bracing)
  • Career Q&A and mentoring with doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and more!
  • Panel discussion on overcoming injury, staying motivated, and succeeding in sports
  • SOUL Sports Medicine Scholarship awards and closing celebration

Do I need to be affiliated with Creighton University to attend?

No. This event is open to the entire Omaha community. You do not need any affiliation with Creighton to participate.

Do I (or my child) need to be an athlete to attend?

Not at all. While we will have activities for youth athletes, the event is open to all children, teens, and families—athletes and non-athletes alike.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and athletic shoes are recommended, especially if you plan to participate in physical activity stations.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself (and your family), a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, move, and connect. No equipment or materials are required.
