Unity Game Design with VR

Learn basic navigation and model creation in Unity 3D and use the Oculus Go headset to view your work in Virtual Reality! Students will work in pairs to learn and design their VR game.

Activities

• Learn how to load a third-party SDK into Unity
• Build Unity project to an external device (Oculus Go)
• Create simple scenes and models in Unity

Who Should Take This Class

Age: 7th-12th Grade
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of computers and how to save/open files.

The lead host will be Ryan Hunter, lead instructor and co-founder of TechWise Academy.

What is Coding Connector?

Nearly half of the top jobs in demand in the United States are directly related to coding and programming and with an eye on the future of our community, the Innovation Connector launched the Coding Connector on January 1, 2017 to teach children “the new language of the future.” This initiative is intended to reach school aged youth in first through twelfth grades. The courses offered are for females and males, beginners and advanced, and students from all social-economic backgrounds.

By teaming with TechWise Academy, the Coding Connector combines a state-of-the-art facility with fiber based internet access, computer resources, an active marketing and business center and the absolute best coding instructors and facilities in our community.
