Dynamic Stretching & Activation
Warm-up and activation using the Batá drums’ rhythm. Focus on movement, energy, and body alignment.
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Eleguá
Introduction to Eleguá, explanation of its symbolism, and basic dance steps inspired by this orisha.
3:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Oshosi
Exploration of Oshosi, the hunter orisha, and its distinctive dance patterns and cultural meaning.
4:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Ogún
Learning the movement vocabulary representing Ogún, the orisha of strength, labor, and perseverance.
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Afro-Timba Fusion
A dynamic combination of Afro-Cuban orisha dance steps with the modern rhythm of Cuban Timba (salsa).
