About this event

  • Event lasts 7 hours

Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring "Understanding Youth with Borderline Personality Disorder Disruptions" for Alameda Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras County providers. When youth display dramatic presentations, it can carry a lot of stigma and make it challenging for providers working with these individuals. This training will provide an in-depth discussion of what borderline personality disruption is. Providers will learn common challenges to supporting someone with a dramatic presentation and how to effectively support someone with the diagnosis.

Learning objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify at least one characteristic of individuals with borderline personality disruption.
  • Participants will be able to describe the connection between borderline personality disruption and trauma.
  • Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to support a transitional age youth with borderline traits.

Please note that in order to register for these free trainings you must be staff, caregiver or volunteer working directly with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.

The training will be facilitated by Dr. Kwonta Phatiphong of Klasey Consulting LLC. You can learn more about Klasey Consulting at www.klaseyconsulting.com.
