About this event
This is a *virtual* class. You will receive a Zoom meeting link 24 hours before your scheduled class.
NOTE: If you are enrolled in The Birth Journey you do not need to register separately for this class. The material is covered as a part of The Birth Journey.
Our goal with this class is to set you up for the success so you know what to do during those first few days after you go home. We cover a range of topics, including:
Normal newborn appearance and behavior in hours and days after birth
Swaddling
Diapering and Dressing
Bathing
Routine tests and preventive care for newborns
Signs of sickness and when to call your provider
Arranging to have the support you need in the early weeks postpartum
Working with baby’s pediatric provider
ONE ticket per couple
Prenatal Class
Take: Anytime in the third trimester (30-36 weeks pregnant)
Cost:
Birth Center Client: Included in the cost of your care; please send a message through the contact form to request registration
Vanderbilt Hospital Patients: $20
Delivering elsewhere/Non-Clients: $40
