About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Workplaces are often the site of profound psychological and emotional distress for employees from historically marginalized communities—not only due to racial trauma but also due to oppression-based traumatic stress (OBTS). While race-based traumatic stress (RBTS) has gained recognition, OBTS remains underexplored despite its significant impact on workplace culture, employee well-being, and organizational outcomes.

This research-based webinar will present key findings from our OBTS study, shedding light on how OBTS manifests in workplace environments and what leaders, HR professionals, and organizations can do to address and mitigate its effects.

🔑 Webinar Goals

  • Understand how OBTS manifests on individual, interpersonal, and institutional levels in workplace environments.
  • Identify key organizational strategies, policies, and leadership interventions that help mitigate OBTS.
  • Equip attendees with practical tools to create workplaces that prioritize psychological safety, inclusion, and well-being.

🎯 Who Should Attend?

This webinar is designed for HR professionals, People & Culture leaders, DEIB practitioners, executive and senior leaders, managers and supervisors, mental health professionals, workplace well-being advocates, and nonprofit and advocacy professionals.

Join us in this critical conversation to explore how we can build workplaces that truly support and uplift employees facing systemic oppression.
