Event Description:
Join us for a quarterly virtual workshop (hosted via Zoom) on the intricacies of non-monogamies for educators, mental health professionals, and graduate students. This interactive series will include shared book readings and discussions, group activities, film clip reviews, and more all in the name of exploring and deepening understanding regarding non-monogamy. AASECT Continuing Education credits available!

Presenter Bios:
Jules Purnell, M.Ed. (they/them) is an AASECT-certified Sexuality Educator and graduate of Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies. Jules has been teaching since 2010 on subjects related to human sexuality including ethical non-monogamy, LGBTQIA+ cultural awareness, kink/BDSM, and more. They served as a long term co-facilitator for the ENM support group Open Hearts, Open Minds. Additionally, they have been featured on podcasts such as Poly Role Models, NPR’s Life Kit, and Loving Without Boundaries. They have presented at SEXx, Transcending Boundaries Conference, Passional/Sexploratorium, and many other venues on the subject of ENM. They currently teach at UMass Amherst and offer one-on-one coaching and private consulting. Jules lives in Western Mass with their two partners, two kids, and newly adopted kitten.
Eric Scroggin, LPC (he/him) is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, practicing mental health treatment for sixteen years. He attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania for Clinical Psychology with a focus on gender studies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and developmental psychology. He has worked in the outpatient therapy setting in addition to in-home and community-based treatment as well as counseling students in school settings. During the pandemic, he cohosted the TLC Trauma Pod podcast, focusing on topics related to cultural mental health awareness and post-traumatic stress. Eric’s experience with ethical non-monogamy extends to his couples’ counseling work and professional training pertaining to non-traditional relational types. He currently lives in the greater Philadelphia area with his partner and his metamour. As a personal aside, this year Eric has resolved to teach himself to play the acoustic guitar.
