Description

Join Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian and the Mountain View Human Relations Commission for a three-part speaker series on "Understanding Islam."

Each event will be held at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and will include a panel discussion, moderated by Simitian, featuring experts and activists from the Islamic community.

What does it mean to be Muslim? The basics.
A discussion of Islam as a religion and an identity in modern America and abroad.
