About this event

Science & Tech • Other

Dr. Carsten Lange, Professor of Economics at CPP leads a workshop on AI Literacy.

Tuesday, October 28th, 11:30am-12:45pm in Lyra in the Bronco Student Center and on Zoom.

Refreshments will be served.

Understanding how AI works is key to using it effectively and discussing it critically. This presentation offers a non-technical look at how generative AI (genAI) works under the hood, including how words become lists of numbers (tokens), how tokens carry meaning, and how context is preserved in genAI prompts.

Participants can create their own tokens and test meanings interactively — without coding. The presentation also features genAI demos for teaching and learning, with ample time for questions and discussion.
