Understanding Conflict & Simple Tools for De-escalation
Overview
Conflict happens at home, at work, and in everyday life — and it’s a normal part of being human. But when emotions get hot, it’s easy to say or do something that makes things worse instead of better. In this hands-on session, participants will learn what conflict really is, how anger escalates, and a simple three-step method for calming tense situations.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Define what conflict is and isn’t
- Describe and recognize the stages of anger.
- Apply a simple 3-step process for de-escalating tense moments.
