Understanding and Responding to Domestic Abuse in the Workplace
Overview
Domestic abuse affects 1 in 4 employees across the UK. That means almost every workplace includes both victim-survivors and perpetrators. For many experiencing abuse, work can be their only place of safety and employers are in a unique position to make a difference.
In this impactful session, the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA) will explore what domestic abuse is, how it affects workplaces, and the crucial role employers play in providing support and safety.
We’ll be joined by EIDA Ambassador Sam Billingham, a powerful speaker and advocate who will share insights on coercive control and its impact. Sam will be joined by a victim-survivor, offering a first-hand perspective on how the right workplace support can change lives.
