The mission of the Community Health Education Center (CHEC) is to inform and empower patients, families, community members, and hospital staff by providing accurate health information. Visiting the CHEC can be an important step in finding health information, wellness programs, and services in our community.

CHEC services are available to anyone in our community, regardless of whether they are currently a patient at Salem Hospital.

The CHEC is open Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 5pm and can be reached by phone at 503-814-2432 or by email at CHEC@salemhealth.org

Scholarships: Financial assistance is available to those who need help to attend our programs. We may be able to offer a discount and/or waive registration costs depending on the situation. Please call our staff if you need assistance. (Court Mandated Classes are not eligible for scholarships)

Refund Policy: We will allow refunds if requested at least seven days prior to the first class session. Any refund requests made less than seven days before the first class session may be granted in the event of a medical or personal emergency. No refunds will be given once a program begins. In the event of program cancellation, the CHEC will automatically issue a refund to all attendees.
