Under the Table — A Chicago Mafia LARP

Under the Table — A Chicago Mafia LARP

By Goblin Market

Overview

A 1930s Prohibition-era intrigue game about loyalty, power, and secrets, where every conversation could make or break an alliance.

Welcome to Chicago, Early 1930s

The Roaring Twenties are gone — the stock market has crashed, the Great Depression is here, and Chicago is still running on liquor and blood. Prohibition remains the law of the land, but the city drinks harder than ever, and gangsters fight tooth and nail to control the flow. The newspapers scream about shootings, the politicians make speeches about reform, and the real business happens after dark, under the table.

The speakeasy where you gather is more than a watering hole. It’s a crossroads where alliances are forged, secrets are traded, and debts come due. It’s neutral ground… at least until the guns come out.

What This Game Is

Under the Table is a sandbox-style game where there’s no winning , consider ‘failing forward’ and making big interesting choices in order to make this little slice of old School Chicago sparkle.

There isn’t one single plot to follow; instead, there are webs of secrets, debts, romances, rivalries, and ambitions waiting for you to pull on them. You’ll decide what kind of story unfolds: vendettas, betrayals, power grabs, messy romances, or all of the above.
