Michaela Mulroe is sharing her experience on the journey to accepting her craniofacial and hearing disabilities without allowing them to define her. Just as many do, Michaela faced stigmas, barriers, and ignorance, but she realized the world won’t change overnight. So, she decided to recognize the patterns, reflect on her actions, and redirect her perspective to make the change in her own world.

She is currently a board member for the Movin’ Out Inc., an organization that houses people with disabilities, while being the Membership Coordinator for Madison Community Cooperative, a nonprofit organization that houses low to mid-income residents.

This is engagement 1 of 6 within the free 6-week series, where Michaela shares her findings and perspective on navigating the acceptance of disability without allowing it to become the primary identity.
