About this event

Charity & Causes • Other

September 16th UNCommon Meet & Eat will be extra special. You'll meet one of the most generous community leaders we know, Ms. M. Cookie Canty Goings, Director of Neighborhood Services, City of Myrtle Beach. At this presentation we'll learn about a non-profit near and dear to her heart, and soon to be ours: Nana's Hope House. Ms. Goings is Founder and President whose mission is to provide a clean, safe and supporting environment for registered Horry County high school students who are designated as homeless unaccompanied youth.

The lunch ladies with Ms. Cookie Canty Goings, Founder and President of Nana's Hope House, and Mr. Gary Weimer, President Myrtle Beach Kiwanis Club. Learn more here: nanashopehouse.org

Frequently asked questions

What do guests pay for at the lunch event?

Guests pay for food, beverages, taxes and gratuities. At Boteco VIP an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to the tab.

I reserved a seat, and cannot attend. What do I do?

You must cancel your reservation at EVENTBRITE, and not be a NO-SHOW. Your reservation is your word that you will attend, and your attendance is counted in the reservation commitment to the restaurant.

Where can we find the menu at Boteco VIP?

You can find the menu at Boteco.com - A full bar is available, and guests order off the menu.

Raffles…what raffles are planned in support of Nana’s Hope House?

Raffles for a 50/50 drawing by the 501(c)(3) and community sponsor Kiwanis Club of Myrtle Beach. Crafters donate additional raffle gifts that are in addition to the 50/50 cash raffle. 100% of the monies raised go to the non-profit and the ticket winners. Donors are generous talented crafters.

Are raffles optional, and do I bring cash?

Raffles are cash based, so plan to bring money with you. Tickets are $5, $10 and $20. The more tickets you buy, the better chances of winning. Guests do not have to participate in the raffles to raise monies for the charity, but we sure hope you do.

Donations are welcome!
