About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

The Unbreakable Summit celebrates resilience and community as Tamara Morgan recounts her ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro, inspiring audiences to see how adaptive design transforms barriers into possibilities.

Join us for a powerful evening of storytelling, adaptation, and community. Tamara will share her extraordinary journey as a wheelchair user living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (O.I.) (brittle bone condition), using a custom-outfitted adaptive chair known as the Trekker KT.

Through her story, Tamara not only celebrates personal resilience but also amplifies the voices of the organizations that supported and inspired her along the way, including Adaptive Design Association, Accessibility Accelerator, Paratrek, and New Alternatives for Children.

Together, they demonstrate how inclusive design and collective effort can remove barriers, redefine what’s possible, and inspire a more accessible world for all.

The Trekker KT with custom seat adaptations, which is on display in the ADAPT/EVOLVE exhibit through Oct. 26th.

Thank you to the FIT community for this important exhibition and for inviting us to put on this special evening.
